Daily From The Shuk

We are extremely lucky. Fresh produce and a wide variety of herbs and greens are available year round in Israel. In Tel Aviv, Shuk HaCarmel is my go to source for the best flora, both flavorful and healthy - and for inspiration. I enjoy going from stall to stall, visiting with my favorite vendors. I rely on them everyday to provide me with high quality produce and a little bit of banter. Fresh, local produce, is the secret to Middle Eastern cooking. Herbs especially can make an ordinary dish, extraordinary. By combining cooked with raw, or raw with dried and ground, creates heady combinations where new flavor profiles are born.
